- Play (V1) = do + play ( we expand V1 into ‘do+ play’ in questions & ‘do+not+play’ in negative sentence )
- Plays ( S-form) = does + play
- Played ( V2) = did + play
· We can also use ‘do forms’ even in Positive sentences to emphasize
an action:
Ex : Please do attend the party.
He does come regularly.
I did attend the class yesterday.
